How To Apply
Application Overview
The entire application should be submitted online using the Online Application Form here. 

A candidate needs to submit the following:
  • a completed nomination form from a peer within the public interest computing world or a leader in the nonprofit community familiar with the candidate’s work.
  • an application form completed by the candidate.
  • a link to the relevant software. 
Nomination
Each candidate must be nominated by a peer within the public interest computing world or a leader in the nonprofit community who can speak to the personal qualities that contribute to that individual’s leadership, as well as to the product the nominee has developed.

The completed nomination form for the 2010 competition can be submitted in conjunction with or separately from the candidate’s application. Nominations must be submitted by February 1, 2010.

Application
Each candidate must submit a completed application. Each candidate must also be nominated by a peer within the public interest computing world or a leader in the nonprofit community who can speak to the personal qualities that contribute to that individual’s leadership, as well as to the product the nominee developed.
Submission of Software
Each candidate must submit a link to the software through the Pizzigati Prize online portal, where this software will be available for public and Advisory Panel review.
Peer Review
Have an observation about any of the software submitted by applicants for the Pizzigati Prize? Our Forums area is open for your comments. We encourage all applicants and nominators to participate in this process. These comments will inform the decision making process, but will not solely determine the prize recipient.
Deadlines

Nomination Window for 2010 Opens in December

Nominations for the 2010 Antonio Pizzigati Prize for Software in the Public Interest must be submitted to the Tides Foundation by February 1, 2010. The prize winner for the 2010 prize will be announced in April. The application window opens in December.

Decision and Announcement
The Advisory Panel will review all of the applicant material and, using the identified criteria, select the annual Pizzigati Prize winner.
